Managers lead companies, functions, or departments. A manager is assigned to a particular level on an organizational chart and often has multiple teammates for which they are responsible. Being a manager is much more complex than most people realize.
Their role is to integrate functions and departments for the overall success of the company. This involves lots of strategy sessions, research, planning, process design, training, and evaluating. As a leader, managers must be able to balance multiple priorities at the same time.
